The Department of the Air Force Company Grade Officers’ Council is an organization representing the more than 47,000 junior military officers of the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and Space Force. Through local councils on nearly 100 bases and military installations across four regions including Europe and the Pacific, CGOs (captains and lieutenants) promote professional development and community service through volunteer projects and networking events.
The Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson CGOC hosted a "brown bag" luncheon with squadron commanders on the importance of communication. They discussed topics such as generational gaps, writing skills, and leadership styles.
Professional DevelopmentThe Yokota Air Base CGOC presented to airmen and NCOs about commissioning sources and paths to become an officer in the Air Force. Attendees learned about various avenues for commissioning, pitfalls, and life during each of the programs, and breakout sessions at the end of the seminar provided the opportunity to ask any and all questions to better prepare them for submission.

Esprit de CorpsThe Barksdale Air Force Base CGOC held a holiday golf tournament to support Operation Bright Holiday. They raised $3,000 through the golf tournament to help pay travel expenses for young Airmen who could not otherwise afford to travel home for the holidays. In a previous year, their CGOC sent 133 Airmen home, including 22 Airmen to places like Guam, Spain, Athens and Tokyo.

The Rocky Mountain CGOC had a combat dining-in with about 125 CGOs present. Their guest speaker was a major general who offered the CGOs career advice and other words of wisdom. Other activities included nerf gun wars, crud, giant jenga, and more.
The Department of the Air Force Company Grade Officers' Council connects base councils globally to grow and develop leaders by leveraging Department of the Air Force resources to build a robust community of Lieutenants and Captains.
To empower councils at Air Force and Space Force units around the world through Advocacy, Recognition and Communication to the regions down to the base-level. The DAFCGOC will coordinate and disseminate training materials and deliver the pulse of the CGO from its constituent councils to senior military leadership.
